KWSC Test Days
Who participates in Test Day?
Coaches will determine when a skater is ready to test.
For STAR 6 and above Tests
All of these tests are conducted on scheduled club test days in front of Officials. If your skater is participating, your coach will have already discussed this with you and directed you to register for Test Day in KWSC’s Membership System, Uplifter. The Test Day schedule is then shared with the Coaches and posted in the KWSC Office Window (CFSC Rink).
For STAR 1-5 Tests
Tests are assessed by the coach, not an Official. They can take place any time; on a regular session, open session, or on performance days as discussed between the coach and skater.
Why are regular programs cancelled on Test Day?
Test Days are scheduled into our seasonal programming and rotate through different days of the week to avoid consistently disrupting the same skating sessions. This ensures that no skater or program is disproportionately affected over the course of the year.
While not all skaters test each time, everyone contributes to the overall structure that supports these important testing opportunities. By holding scheduled Test Days in the CFSC Rink, the club can minimize costs for skaters and families.
The number of skaters registered for tests will determine how much time is necessary to run the Test Day and how many programs are impacted.
If you have questions about whether your skater is testing or about anything else related to Test Day, please contact your coach directly.
